We're making yummy, fluffy bannock - a flatbread. Sounds counter intuitive doesn't it? The bannock recipe comes from Connie and Lonnie of Far North Bushcraft & Survival.
In the video below, you'll notice that we make a couple of changes to the recipe. 1) Because our goal is to make a fluffier version of the bannock, we are adding more water. 2) We're adding 1 teaspoon of sugar for a touch of sweetness.

This bannock recipe is so versatile. Sometimes we add ground black pepper or Italian seasoning, sunflower seeds or pine nuts. We've even mixed in blueberries on occasion. It's fun to change it up.
What sorts of bread do you like to make when camping and enjoying the outdoors?
Below are a couple of the items you'll see us using in the video. One is the Shemagh that Bill is wearing. The color of Bill's shemagh is called, "Coyote Brown." The other item is the wooden spatula that I use when cooking the bannock. The wood spatulas are by a company called Bamber and they have a beautifully smooth finish.
